Hey GuysIm new to infopath and have been using the designer to create a simple form - Email for a job I do every day 20 - 30 times.I want the file to automatically pick up the users e-mail so I have less information to enter.So what I currently have is the following fields Name (Manually entered text, FirstName) Username (Manually entered text) Email (Formula) Dot (Contains by default a fullstop and text is same colour as background. Invisible on form and email) company.com (Contains by default '@company.com' and the test is the same colour as background. Invisible on form and email)We have a convention on usernames that its the last name(full) and first name (initial) e.g bloggsjWe have a convention on emails that is firstname.lastname@company.com.In the Email field I have a formula that contains concat(name, dot, username, company.com) which combines multiple text strings to output an e-mail address. This e-mail address is then used as the recipient for the form.

The problem isthat as the username also contains the firstname initial so i have to edit the email address each time to remove this.Can anyone think of a way to remove the last character from a field automatically e.g have a field that contains the data from the name field and deletes the last character?All ideas welcome.
