  1. Trend Micro Unauthorized Change Detected Windows 7

Sorry to be so long in getting back.too many cranky servers. The 'Trend Micro Unauthorized Change Prevention Service' shows the dependency on the following three services starting.tmaclmontmcommtmevtmgrThese are not listed in services? So where do I go and how can I see what is stopping them from starting? One thing I recall now about this particular installation was I had the evaluation version installed and then licensed it. Would the evaluation version install more than I licensed for and be part of the problemThanks.

Hi,These are not 'services' actualy, they are system components (drivers more precisely) required by the system (or service) to run.tmactmon, tmevtmgr & tmcomm are located in the folder C:WindowsSystem32driver s.The driver can be started or stopped from Services in the Control Panel or by other programs. The program is not visible.

It is a Verisign signed file. The file has a digital Signature. They are not Windows system files.I suggest that you verify the logon TAB and make sure that you're using the Local System Account to start this service and unchecked the 'Allow service to intereact with desktop'Also, questions:. Have you perform any manual removal of any TM components?. Do you have any other security software that manages services on your server?.

Is all other TM services running normally? (there are 7 of them including this one).Standing.

I have noticed that this service prevent spiceworks from loading. When I open task manager, TMBMSRV.exe is using almost 100% of the CPU. The only way I can get spiceworks running again is to 1) Stop the Trend Micro service 2) restart the spiceworks service 3) set the Trend service to Disabled to prevent it from restarting itself. When I reboot the server (updates, etc) I notice the service is set back to Manuel and is running again.Does anyone know how to stop this behavior? Calling Trend Micro is sooooo painful; I thought I would ask here first. Please try to add the exact directory of the program plus its application name on the Behavior Monitoring Settings' Approved Program lists on this part of the Web Console:Networked Computers Client Management Group/Client Behavior Monitoring SettingsThat is information from Trend Micro support on their recommendation on how to fix this issue. The 'Trend Micro Unauthorized Change Prevention Service' combined with the real time virus scanning seem to be the specific things that cause these issues. Please let me know if making those changes fix your issues.
